Before You Buy, Mesh and Measuring
Measure the circumference of your pet’s snout at the base and follow the below sizing guide (If you don’t have a tape measure handy use a piece of string and then measure the string with a ruler):

We are always happy to exchange for incorrect sizing, but we will not be able to absorb the additional cost.

SIZING CUSP
Generally, when a dog is on the sizing cusp, I recommend to go the size up.
However, if you have a “smooshed” nose dog (one with a very short snout), or a very short legged dog in relation to the snout length, (like a Corgi or a Bassett Hound) I may recommend the smaller size or we may need to custom make a Smuzzlespecifically for your dog.
Note that the webbing we use for sizes Large and X-Large is 3/4″)
Webbing for small and Medium is 5/8″. This appears to be comfy for the dog, giving support. : )

MEASURING and SIZING CONSIDERATIONS
We need to consider the basket length.
We want the basket to be big enough so not to be too bothersome for the whiskers and nose….but not so long that a short legged dog (ie. Frenchys, Corgis, Dachshunds) can trip on it.
SNOUT LENGTHS
Short Snouts
We can Smuzzle most smooshed face dogs. The webbing used is 1/2″ wide. If the snout can support ½”, the Smuzzle will stay on, with the side straps pulled behind the head.
Long Snouts
If you think your dog has an unusually long snout, please measure it and contact us at smuzzleme@gmail.com to make sure the basket length will support the snout length.
For the snout length, please measure at the base of the snout, just below and between the eyes, to the top tip of the nose.
